Board of Directors

Board Meeting Schedule
The ACVP Board meeting via teleconference the fourth Thursday of every month.

The ACVP Board meets face-to-face two times per year -- once at the Management Conference in March and once in the fall.

All Members are invited to submit any issues or concerns they wish the board to address at a board meeting.  When submitting your issues, please be certain to include the following:
1.  Issue or concern
2.  Your requested resolution
3.  Pros and cons to your resolution
4.  Any known budget impact

All matters must be sent in writing to the ACVP Office at least four weeks before the meeting date.  The board of directors reserves the right to address your issue directly (versus in a board meeting).  All matters will be addressed.

This is the organization responsible for developing, administering and maintaining cardiovascular credentials worldwide.

Commission on the Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs

This organization reviews recommendations made by the Joint Review Committees for accreditation of educational programs.

This body is a loose network of allied health organizations working on issues of commonality in healthcare.

Joint Review Committee -- Cardiovascular Technology

This body reviews educational curriculum to make sure it is within prescribed essential standards and guidelines and then makes recommendations for accreditation.

ACVP is involved in many organizations and with many associations as a leader in the cardiovascular community.  In order to represent our members' interests, we send representatives to organizations where we maintain formal relationships.  

Board members serve as liaisons/representatives for all informal relationships.

Members who are interested in acting as ACVP ambassadors are invited to forward their resumes along with a statement indicating why they wish to be an ACVP representative.  Included with this information should be a description regarding strengths the individual may be able to bring to the role as a representative for ACVP.  Representatives are appointed periodically so forward your information anytime.

Councils

Council Chairs are responsible for providing the specialty components with ACVP with the materials and services they need for success.  This includes developing programs, activities, and publications designed to support specialty professionals.  ACVP currently supports 7 specialty councils.

ACVP Committees


Committees are a vital component of ACVP.  There are five major committees with various subcommittees reporting to committee chairs.  It is through the committees and subcommittees that the bulk of the programs and activities are outlined and accomplished.  All committees are supported by ACVP staff.  All committees are directed by ACVP volunteers.  Members are encouraged to participate, provide guidance, and support programs.
